Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for (in no particular order, just stream of consciousness):

YOU, my brethren and listeners who challenge me to work hard on the show and make me feel like a rock star at least once a day.

My wonderful family, my beautiful wife who makes me laugh once a day at least, and a son who gives me joy with no end.

Oriental Lodge No. 33, my Mother Lodge and the best brothers a guy could have.

The Brothers of North Star No. 1, F&AM PHA

The Brothers of Old No. 2 in New York. My role models.

Technology which allows me to explore the world and communicate with Masons outside of my area.

The Blue Majesty, my maxi-scooter which gives me hours of fun and has lowered my blood pressure at gas stations.

My AMD Council (Lux Ex Oriente No. 379, after which this show is named)

Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Rex Hutchins. Spend 5 minutes with the man and you'll know why.

Brent and Art. The Dream Team of Masonic scholarship. And the nicest guys.

Martin Starr, a great friend.

Aaron, my man in Kansas City.

The Freemasons of Israel.

Joe and Terry. Here's the math: (Joe + Terry) x (Cigars + Single Malt) = A really grand evening

Pete and Travis Normand. Texas never had it so good.

Bob Davis. If you eat dinner with Bob Davis, and don't learn something new, you aren't paying attention.

Johnathan Barnes: Mr. Harmony. Big intellect. Bigger heart. A most excellent friend.

Stacey: wisdom and a wicked giggle.

Ben Liberman: emanating waves of fraternal love, wisdom and quiet strength.

Phil Samson: my first fraternity.

Sushi. Lots of sushi.

Wet shaving with a real badger shaving brush.

Apple pie baked in a brown paper bag.

The iPhone, and the Mac Pro.

Battlestar Galactica (the new one).

BBC America

elastic-sided boots from Australia.

Pilot Hi-Tec-C pens from Japan.

The Internet which allows me to get shoes from Australia and pens from Japan.

Whiteboards.

Digital SLRs.

My Masonic ring which reminds what I came here to do several times a day

TWiT (This Week in Tech, my favorite Podcast).

Tiki Bar TV, my Second favorite podcast (it would be my favorite if it came out more often. Lala? LA LA?).

Skype.

Tivo.

My teachers, especially Morrie and Sensei, Rabbi Mike and Cantor Frank.

Cigars--oh, how we'll miss them.

Grey Goose Martinis with 3 bleu cheese olives (one for each degree).

Bluehouse, the place where I live.

Freemasonry, the Brotherhood that makes me a better man every single day.

The Supreme Architect of the Universe who sustains me, and who has brought me to this day.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY!
